About This Page

As both a social worker and a humor author, I find it incredibly hard to describe what life is like for a social worker in a tangible way. One day while I was reading a random Buzzfe-- I mean, working on my billing statements, I realized that a micro-blog might just be the voice that social workers really seem to be lacking.

We lack this voice, by the way, because by the end of the day we've lost ours after yelling, "TAKE THE CONDOM OFF YOUR HEAD AND GO TO COURT!" multiple times.

So this is my little nod to my fellow social workers, non-profit toilers, case managers, mental health professionals, advocates and anyone else who finds themselves asking the question, "Will my client actually show up wearing pants today?" Enjoy!

I would also like to dedicate this page to Kari, Margie, Reese, Kim, Mo and all the others who have dedicated huge sections of their lives to helping those who desperately need it.

Disclaimer: I respect all of my clients confidentiality. Therefore, I will never give away details that could specifically target any one person. I expect all social workers who decide to leave comments on this page to follow the same standard. If I suspect you are breaking confidentiality, your comment will be removed. We are not here to fishbowl our clients.
